It’s this time of the year again … once again our summer edition sees Chopstick in collaboration with homeboy Till von Sein! After their magnificant “Ten EP” last july the duo brings us another smasher EP by the name of “Pure 18”.
On A1 we find “You Don’t See”, a track that caught me right in the act. The way the two keep working the filter on the sample just brings back those good old french house nights. Up and down, round and round … till your dancing feet hurt. The whole SUOL crew has been spinniing this one from the moment it came out of the lab.
On A2 you’ll find “What’s Going On”. The complex beat shows the typical Chopstick & Till von Sein programming, moving your hips from second 1. Then slowly the piano loops comes in … in hiding for a while, till it finally show its real face. You will not be abled to get this one out of your head – for sure.
Last but not least we present two versions of “Description Of A Smile”! A full on Groove Machine. Congas, nice uplifting vocals and a theme that give us a glimpse of their past. Guitars acompany the beat till the bomb finally drops… you might know this one!? Haha… For those who wanna add a little deepness to this sure shot we have a digital exclusive Dub Mix. Best serve hot…
