Ahh… summer. Isn’t it grand? It’s when Berlin is at its very best. After months of hibernation, everyone comes out of their rabbit holes in the best of moods and ready to mingle. And our little piece of paradise called ‘Hallo Montag’ is just the place to go in this frame of mind. Don your sunglasses, maybe grab a nice cold Späti-beer for the way and head over to our weekly daytime party, held every Monday at IPSE, that beautifully secluded spot right by the Spree canal. This season is going to be our third and once again, we are releasing a collection of sunny House tracks that capture the Berlin summer vibe, one at a time, every Monday, to ac- company each party.

First up is Jad & The with ‘Sophisticated Cat’, and this cat is as sophisticated as they come. Building up on a Roland rim shot, this groovy number comes in with a deliciously sustained Rhodes lick slowly fading in. The beats drop out and a sweet looping vocal joins the proceed- ings, setting the stage for a twisting acid line and an infectious Funk break to take us to the end in style. This tune is both mellow and wonderfully danceable, which is just what we like at ‘Hallo Montag’.
